Recently we had a chance to talk with Ryan from Focused on Forever. They photograph weddings, family & child portraits, senior portraits, and professional commercial headshots.
But the bulk of their business is doing awesome school portraits every year with several Florida schools.

First, before picture day, he sends text message reminders about the school photos. He also offers suggestions about what to wear.
Then after pictures are done, he sends a text to parents with a password. This allows them to log in to the website, review the pictures, approve and also order prints.
Ryan said, “Texting is great for time sensitive stuff… like reminding parents of order deadlines.”
Ryan went on to say, “Texting responses are great… 10 to 1 when compared to email. People respond to texting more frequently when compared to email. It’s probably due to filtering, spam filters, or just email overload.”
His engagement rate is through the roof, which is no surprise. Consider the latest industry statistics indicate that texting read rates are over 93%… It’s the quickest way to reach your customers!
